Junior Test Engineer

Location Kraków
Contract type Full Time
Offer description

Manufacturo powers operations for companies building satellites, fusion reactors, next-generation aircraft, and hypersonic vehicles. Companies such as Hermeus, Relativity Space, and Sierra Space rely on our platform to run complex manufacturing operations with greater control, traceability, and speed.

We are a SaaS company building software for some of the most advanced industrial programs in the world. The work we do has real-world impact, and the systems we support are complex, fast-moving, and mission-critical for our customers.

We are hiring a Junior Test Engineer to join our product engineering organization and help us improve the quality, reliability, and stability of Manufacturo. This is a role for someone who wants to grow into a test engineer role, work with complex business processes, and learn how modern SaaS products are tested in practice.

The Role

As a Junior Test Engineer at Manufacturo, you will work closely with developers, product owners, and other testers to help validate product changes, investigate issues, and improve how we think about quality.

This can be an entry-level role, but not a passive one. We are looking for someone curious, technical, and willing to learn. First experience in testing, technical support, software development, IT, engineering, manufacturing, or another analytical area is welcome, but not required.

You will split your time between manual testing and test automation. Some of your work will involve exploring new features, checking how the product behaves in different situations, verifying data, testing APIs, and helping the team understand risks before changes reach customers. Over time, you will also contribute more to automated testing using TypeScript.

You should be comfortable working in a high-change environment where priorities can evolve, context changes quickly, and teams need to stay focused on delivering value without losing quality.

Duties

What You’ll Do

  • Test new features, bug fixes, and product changes — exploring product behavior to surface edge cases, inconsistencies, and quality risks

  • Learn how core workflows work across production, planning, inventory, and shopfloor operations

  • Work with developers and product owners to understand expected behavior when requirements are unclear

  • Verify data using basic SQL queries

  • Test REST/HTTP APIs using tools such as Postman or similar

  • Investigate issues using UI behavior, data, API responses, and logs, then report bugs clearly — reproduction steps, expected vs. actual behavior, and supporting evidence

  • Learn and support test automation — from writing simple scenarios to investigating and maintaining existing automated tests

  • Use AI tools to support learning, test idea generation, bug investigation, and automation basics

  • Collaborate with the team to improve quality earlier in the development process

Required skills

Required Skills & Experience

  • Curiosity, analytical thinking, and attention to detail

  • Basic understanding of how web applications and REST/HTTP APIs work

  • Basic SQL skills - you should be able to write simple SELECT queries and understand relationships between data

  • Willingness to work with both manual testing and test automation

  • Curiosity about AI tools and willingness to use them to learn faster and improve daily work

  • Good English communication skills, especially in written form

Nice to Have

  • First experience in software testing, software development, technical support, IT, engineering, manufacturing, or another technical or analytical role

  • First exposure to test automation, even from courses, internships, university projects, bootcamps, or personal projects

  • Basic understanding of browser developer tools, especially Console and Network tabs

  • Experience with production, manufacturing, logistics, ERP/MES, warehouse, or shopfloor environments

  • Familiarity with Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar tools

  • Practical use of AI tools such as ChatGPT, Cursor, Claude, or similar for learning, testing, or coding

  • Genuine interest in space, aerospace, advanced manufacturing, or complex industrial systems

Our Tech Stack

  • Backend: .NET, C#, Entity Framework, SQL Server / Azure SQL

  • Frontend: Angular, micro-frontend architecture, our own Angular Component Library

  • Testing: manual testing, API testing, test automation, Cypress end-to-end

  • APIs: REST/HTTP

  • Cloud: Azure

  • CI/CD and work tracking: Azure DevOps

  • Observability: OpenTelemetry, Grafana stack

  • AI tooling: Cursor and Codex, and other modern AI-assisted development tools

What we offer

What You’ll Get in Return

  • Opportunity to grow as a test engineer in a complex SaaS product environment. Within your first six months, you'll move from supported testing to owning features end-to-end. Within a year, you'll be contributing to automation and helping shape how we test new parts of the product.

  • Work on software used by some of the most innovative manufacturing companies in the world

  • Work directly alongside experienced testers and developers who will actively support your growth - through code reviews, pairing sessions, and regular feedback

  • Real learning opportunities in SQL, API testing, automation, cloud-based SaaS systems, and AI-assisted work

  • Space to learn how quality works in a complex product — through data, APIs, investigation, and understanding business workflows

  • Hybrid working with three days in our Kraków office, comprehensive healthcare including life insurance, and a Multisport Card.
